Two Shows: 11:00 am/2:00 pm....Magician Wes Iseli and Party Magic return for their fouth BryceFest. Wes is a wonderfully talented magician who will amaze young and old with his sleight of hand illusions.
12:00-12:45 pm....Amanda Mackintosh. Born and raised on a family farm in Berryville, VA, Amanda Mackintosh moved to Nashville at 17 with the dream of becoming a successful recording artist. While studying music at Belmont University, she honed her skills by keeping a weekly gig at the legendary honky tonk, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Upon graduating, she began work on her debut album, writing over half the songs. The album carries great emotional depth and variety from the light hearted, "Make Lemonade," to the selfless ballad, "Everything for You," to the homesick anthem and title track, "Shenandoah." After listening to the album, it's no surprise that this musical journey has led her right back to where she started!
Luray Caverns complex is among the best we have seen in the world
Bryce Condo at Bryce Resortrecently hosted Ann and Mel Liddle from Northumberland, England. We take immense pride in our properties and work hard to ensure guests have the best possible stay. We were happy to have our guests from England share some comments with us:
"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Virginia. The scenery is very attractive with very quiet roads to travel. Many thanks for the use of your condo which was very clean on arrival. It gave us such a good comfortable base to see the area. Also it gave us a restful peaceful haven to return to in the evening. The deck in early morning and evening time was very welcome. We love to sit outdoors and the birds were in good voice. After the daytime heat we also welcomed the surprising coolness inside. Luray Caverns complex is among the best we have seen in the world. We have now seen the sights of both the War of Independence and the Civil War from north to south and even learned some of our own history. We did get a bit of ragging in Williamsburg even though we live only a few miles from George Washington's ancestral home. Once again many thanks for making us so welcome."
Bryce Resort: Great location
Guests staying with us at our condo at Bryce Resort keep commenting on the location. In may, Anne Hawley stayed with us for a week and was kind enough to leave a comment we could share As she states, the location is ideal!
"The condo is in a great location - you can walk to the lake, the free tennis courts, pool, post office, a cute country store and of course an ice cream stand!"

Midori
Born in Osaka, Japan, in 1971, Midori began studying the violin with her mother at the age of three. She and her mother would eventually relocate to New York City where she studied at Julliard's pre-college. When she was invited to play as guest soloist for the New York Philharmonic's traditional New Year's Eve concert in 1982, she received a standing ovation. This was just the beginning.
In 1986, at the age of 14, she performed at Tanglewood with the Boston Symphony under the direction of Maestro Leonard Bernstein. During that performance she broke not one but two violin strings. Despite this, her performance was flawless and she didn't miss a note. At the conclusion of the piece, Maestro Bernstein was brought to his knees before her in awe. The New York Times headline the following morning read "GIRL 14, CONQUERS TANGLEWOOD WITH 3 VIOLINS." Nearly 25 years later, she continues to wow audiences around the world.
In 2001 she created the non-profit organization, Partners in Performance. The purpose of this program is to broaden the audience for chamber music by bringing high profile chamber music performances to community-based organizations in the U.S.
